Our principles

Triply is built on three principles: respect, honesty, and safety. Every rule below flows from these. By using Triply you agree to uphold them.

Respect everyone

Your fellow travellers come from every background. Treat each of them the way you'd want your sister, son, or parent treated on the road.

  • No discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, language, or region.
  • No harassment, unwanted physical contact, or sexual advances — ever.
  • No hate speech, slurs, or threatening language in messages or in person.
  • Respect the car: no loud phone calls, no smoking unless the driver permits, no eating strong-smelling food without asking.

Be honest

  • Use your real name, real photo, and verified identity.
  • Only post rides you intend to drive. Only book rides you intend to take.
  • Don't misrepresent your vehicle, route, or pickup point.
  • Pay through the app. Don't negotiate off-platform to dodge fees — it puts both of you at risk.

Prioritise safety

  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Obey all traffic laws. Speed limits exist for a reason.
  • Seat belts are mandatory for everyone in the vehicle.
  • Don't drive tired. Cancel the trip if you're not fit to drive.
  • Use the SOS feature if anything feels wrong.

Driver rules

  • Vehicle: Keep your car roadworthy, clean, and properly insured.
  • Punctuality: Be at the pickup point at the agreed time. Notify passengers immediately if you're running late.
  • Pricing: Never charge above Triply's cost-sharing cap. This is a legal limit, not a suggestion.
  • No detours: Follow the posted route. Don't take unagreed detours.
  • No additional passengers: Don't pick up unregistered riders along the way.

Passenger rules

  • On time: Be at the pickup point 5 minutes before departure.
  • Respect the car: Don't leave trash. Ask before eating or smoking.
  • Ratings: Leave honest ratings and reviews — they help the whole community.
  • Pay on the platform: Don't offer cash to skip the app's fee.

Prohibited behaviour

The following will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, and may be reported to authorities:

  • Sexual harassment, assault, or any form of non-consensual touching
  • Physical violence or threats of violence
  • Discrimination based on any protected characteristic
  • Carrying or transporting illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials
  • Driving under the influence
  • Operating as a commercial taxi (charging above cost-sharing rates)
  • Creating fake profiles or manipulating ratings
  • Stalking, harassing, or repeatedly contacting users who have declined further contact
  • Posting illegal content or content that incites hatred

How to report

If you experience or witness a violation:

  • Immediate danger: Use the in-app SOS or dial 112.
  • Report a user: Tap the "Report" option on their profile or from any completed trip within 30 days.

Enforcement

Our Trust & Safety team reviews every report within 24 hours. Actions range from:

  • Warning: For minor first-time issues
  • Temporary suspension: For repeated or serious issues (7–30 days)
  • Permanent ban: For severe violations, with no appeal for safety-related bans
  • Legal referral: For criminal conduct, we cooperate fully with law enforcement
Zero tolerance: Sexual harassment, violence, and driving under the influence result in immediate permanent ban — no warnings, no second chances.
