ID verification

Every user completes Aadhaar-linked or government-ID verification before posting or booking a ride. Profile photos, phone, and email are all verified too.

During any active trip, the SOS button connects you instantly to our 24/7 response team and can share your live location with your emergency contacts.

Women-only rides

Safety FAQs

What you need to know.

How does Triply verify users?

Every user completes Aadhaar-based OTP verification or submits a government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence, or PAN) before they can post or book a ride. Phone numbers and emails are also verified. Drivers additionally submit their vehicle RC, insurance, and PUC certificates.

What is the SOS button and when should I use it?

The SOS button is available during any active trip in the top-right of your ride screen. Tap it if you feel unsafe, witness an accident, or need emergency help. It simultaneously alerts Triply's 24/7 response team, dials 112 if you confirm, and sends your live location to your emergency contacts.

Can women choose to ride only with women?

Yes. Turn on the Women-Only preference in your profile and your ride search will only show trips with verified female drivers and female co-passengers. Female drivers can also post rides marked women-only, which then only accept bookings from verified female riders.

What happens if I feel unsafe during a trip?

Use the in-app SOS to contact our emergency team, or dial 112. You can also silently share your live location with emergency contacts. If you need to exit the trip, you can do so at any safe point — our support team will help arrange an alternative ride if needed.

What data do you share with police if there's an incident?

If we receive a valid legal request or an emergency demand, we share the relevant trip data (route, timestamps, driver and passenger IDs, GPS trail) with authorities as required under the IT Act 2000 and DPDP Act 2023. See our Privacy Policy for full details on legal data-sharing.

How do I report a user who made me uncomfortable?

Every trip has a "Report this trip" option for up to 30 days after completion. You can also report a user directly from their profile. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans per our Community Rules.

Are Triply rides insured?

Drivers carry their own private motor insurance, which covers the vehicle and occupants in the standard way. Triply additionally provides supplementary trip protection covering passenger injury in case of an accident, subject to terms — this does not replace personal insurance.
